Code Enforcement Officer:
The function of this office is to enforce the City of Jennings Municipal Code, particularly as it relates to land use and property maintenance. Good code enforcement can improve the quality of our neighborhoods, protect property values and the environment and keep Jennings a safe and desirable community. Specifically, the Code Enforcement Officer concentrates on the investigation and abatement of complaints involving land use, housing conditions, abandoned vehicles, signs, fences, and general public nuisances.
City Inspector:
The function of this office is to enforce ordinances pertaining to new construction. We receive all construction documents needed for plan review and issue all permits. (Building Permits, Electrical Permits, Plumbing Permits, Mechanical permits, Moving Permits, and Demolition Permits) We provide the set back requirements for residential and commercial properties.
