The Jennings Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for the supervision and maintenance of all city parks. The department is also responsible for organizing and supervising all recreation activities such as football, soccer, basketball, and baseball – softball. The War Memorial swimming pool is under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Dept. Baseball fields are maintained and prepared for games by the department. The Parks & Recreation Dept. employs 4 full time employees.
- Football is for boys ages 10-12
- Soccer is for children 7-13
- Basketball is for boys 9-14
- Baseball-softball is for boys and girls 6-16
- Jennings also has a swim team
