The City of Jennings is now hiring for the position of Meter Reader in the Water Revenue Department. This position performs routine clerical and semi-skilled utility work in the reading and operation of utility meters, connection and disconnection of water services, and change out of meters and other maintenance work in the field. Basic knowledge of Mathematics and Computer operation is a must. Other requirements include High School Diploma or GED, and Valid Driver’s License. Position: City Engineer
The City of Jennings is now taking job applications for the position of City Engineer. This position is responsible for managing consultants and contractors in the designing and construction of City infrastructure and parks projects; provides technical support and assistance in the planning, development, review, estimating, bidding, and award of various professional service and construction projects; assists in the development and implementation of planning permits, standards, and specifications, and management and revision of existing drawings, maps and records as needed. Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) required, as well as experience in civil engineering or public works administration. Applications will be accepted at City Hall at 154 N.
