The City of Jennings War Memorial Pool opened in 1949 and has served as a great place of enjoyment to the citizens of Jennings over its many years of existence. Learning to swim is a valuable life skill, and one that is taught at the pool every summer. Youth swimming lessons are offered every June and they introduce the youth of Jennings to the importance of water safety, as well as the great health benefits of learning how to swim. Lifeguard training is also offered at the pool for those interested in working at the pool during the swimming season. The Jennings Aqua Dog swim team has used the pool as its home for many years to train competitive youth swimmers for competition. The pool is also available to book for parties during the summer months, and parties at the pool have long been a popular way to spend a summer evening. Whether you are interested in learning how to swim, becoming a competitive swimmer, lifeguarding, or just looking for a place to gather with friends and family, there are many ways to enjoy the Jennings War Memorial Pool.

May 16, 2022: Pool office will be open for swimming lesson registration, party bookings, and general information from 1pm-4pm
June 1, 2022: Opening day for general swim
Swimming lesson: Swimming lessons will be held Monday through Thursday. The first session will be held from 10:30 am-11:15 am and the second session (if necessary) will be held from 11:30 am-12:15 pm. Swimming lessons will begin, tentatively, on June 6, 2022.
General Swim: The pool will be open to the public for general swim Tuesday- Friday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The admission fee for general swim is $2.00 per person.
Family Night: The pool will be open for family night every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Parties: Parties can be booked on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights from 6 pm to 8 pm. On Saturdays throughout the summer the pool will be available for parties from 1 pm to 3 pm, 3:30 pm 5:30 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm. The party fee is $100.00 for fifty people or less. Parties can be booked by calling the pool office.
The final day for general swim in 2022 will be July 29. The pool will be closed to the public after that date, but the pool will remain available for parties throughout August. The final day to book parties will be August 27, 2022. The pool and pool office will be closed for the season on August 30, 2022
