Zigler Park and Recreation Complex has served as the main sports complex for the City of Jennings since it was constructed. What began as a small complex with three baseball fields, has expanded to a near forty-acre multi-sport facility. Zigler Park has ten baseball and softball fields, with varying dimensions, that can accommodate leagues for tee-ball all the way through high school baseball and softball. The Park also includes a playground, concession stands, restroom facilities, a walking track, and a football field. Every fall, our football field and baseball fields are converted to accommodate our soccer program which has doubled in participation over the last ten years. Our baseball and softball programs participate in the PONY Baseball organization and Zigler Park has been selected to host many post-season all-star tournaments since our involvement with the organization began. The old Bronco Field was renamed Tom Precht Field in 2011, and it has been the main headquarters of tournament play for many, many years. With its large covered grand stand, and meticulously maintained playing surface, Tom Precht Field has a stadium feel making one of the most unique places to play youth baseball in Southwest Louisiana. In addition to youth baseball tournaments, Zigler Park has hosted the annual Jennings High School Alumni Softball tournament since its founding in 1994. This event has brought thousands of people back to Jennings to play softball, socialize with friends, family, and classmates. It has been an outstanding event and Zigler Park and the City of Jennings are proud to serve as host. Over the many years, the Jennings Parks and Recreation Department and Zigler Park have been a big part of the Jennings community and we look forward to many more years of making great memories at the ballpark.
